Here I am presenting a selection of the varied work which I had produced during the Interior Design National Diploma course which lasted for two years at Dudley College. I have put together a few examples of my scale drawings like Axonometric, Isometric, One-point perspective and floor plan.
My drawing lessons were not only based on the scaled drawings but also freehand drawings and sketches. During my glass lessons I had the opportunity to work with techniques such as hot glass, sand casting, sand blasting and also painting on glass. For painting techniques where I learnt how to create marble or even wood effect using acrylic or oil paints. 3D design lessons gave me a chance to work with plenty of different machines and materials like wood, wire, acrylic out of which I made a lamp. I also have been working with the computer programs like Photoshop, ArchiCAD and Illustrator.
In the first year of my course I decided to do AS photography where I have been learning how to take and print black and white pictures with a SLR camera. Model making was an important part of one of my projects, every single bit I had to cut up to scale. I have also attached a bit of my textiles work, lots of my pieces have been made by lots of experimentations and testing. I like the fact that I have learnt how to use sewing machine, how to do screen printing and disperse dye.
After the first year of my course I found that the subject that most interests me is 3D design. Also the fact that I have been studying such varied subjects which have given me more skills and I hope to improve on Three Dimensional Design.
I am a hard working person with abilities to work with the group. I always aim to achieve high standards.
